CM15A The CM15A is X-10's latest PLC interface, introduced in late 2004. It incorporates a 310MHz RF receiver, a 310MHz RF transmitter and a two-way PLC interface. It connects to a PC using USB instead of RS-232. Physically, the CM15A is about one inch wider and one inch longer than the CM11A and lacks the feedthrough outlet that was on the CM11A. X10 signals can only be transmitted one command at a time, first by addressing the device to control, and then sending an operation for that device to perform. The USB PC Transceiver sends and receives X10 radio-frequency commands from your PC.
Use it to control X10 cameras (including the Ninja and Vanguard, with the appropriate software), lights and other modules.
It can also be used to receive commands from X10 motion sensors and remote controls, and works with all X10 software* such as X10’s MultiView or X-Ray Vision software.
The software interprets these commands and tells the USB PC Transceiver to transmit the appropriate RF commands to a RF Transceiver (sold separately).
